Less than a month to EXPO 29!! Have you finalized your plans? All the last minute details are being attended to and the event will be ready to go when you are! In this issue we will highlight a few of the vendors you will have a chance to visit, and other industry news.
Expo 29 is Fast Approaching!
With the Expo date less than a month away things are moving fast. If you have not yet made your mind up on the value of attending, don’t miss out. Just like planning any large event, the pace around here is increasing! You have so many people working to provide you with the first rate event you expect. The educational seminars are always one of the best places to not only hear an inspiring speaker, but to network and exchange ideas. I always like the way Bob Barry makes you get up and introduce yourself to everyone you have not previously met. The idea sharing is priceless. We also have a returning dynamic speaker in Nancy Haboush formally of Mister Neat’s in CO. Nancy left the industry a few years back, but has now returned to Randall’s Tip Top Tux and I am sure you will enjoy her very thorough energetic presentation. They both offer great information to take back home and use to make things easier and more profitable in your business.

Hotel Deadline extended to August 20th!

| How Would You Best Educate Consumers about the Importance of Wearing Tuxedos?
|
|
formaltimes.com/container_r1_c4.gif) |
| |
What information do you think potential customers should find about tuxedos when they search the Internet? The International Formalwear Association wants good definitive articles about the etiquette and use of forma wear. But, what information do you the formal wear professionals define as such. We need your input to make sure all are on the same page.
The IFA has made some changes in our websites in the past 6 months. We have made www.formaltimes.com the business to business site. On this site you can access newsletters present and past, but also supplier contact and expo information. We continually add to this site to give you an easy destination to look up numbers and find the answers you as a formal wear business are after.
The www.formalwear.org site is now strictly consumer based. The online measurement system and store locator are here. We have a great webmaster ready to optimize the site and put it on the top of the search engines for brides to see as soon as they search for any type of formalwear information. Yet, here is where we NEED your assistance! We need your opinion on what consumers should see and learn from industry professionals like yourself. What attitudes and issues would you like to see brides be aware of before they set foot in your store? I have listed some articles I think would be helpful, but I want the support and opinion of an industry that can all work together to promote themselves!
Ideas for Articles so far:
1. How to Tie a Bowtie
2. What is the Difference in Tuxedos they are all Black???
3. Do I have to rent my tuxedos where my bridal shop recommends?
4. My fiancé lives there and I live here where should we rent our tuxedos?
5. What type of formalwear is appropriate for my wedding?
6. Why Should I wear a tuxedo they all look alike?
7. I have my wedding party spread all over the country I need a national tuxedo rental company!
8. Long tie or bowtie what should my fiancée’ wear?
9. How formal should my fiancé be if I have a full train on my dress?
10. What makes one store better than the other?
11. I am getting married on a beach does my fiancé still need to wear a tuxedo?
Please give us your ideas, feedback, and advice of what consumer articles should be on the website! Send to editor@formaltimes.com

|
|
formaltimes.com/container_r1_c4.gif) |

Expo is fast approaching, and we want to highlight a few of the exhibitors you will be able to visit in Las Vegas. More next issue….
Frederico Leone
One of the 3 shoe companies that display at expo Frederico Leone offers some information on what to expect from them.
Our number one selling shoe is our basic "Genoa." The second largest selling is our Cosmopolitan. Sales for this shoe have steadily risen over the past few years but this year we saw a 40% increase! A HUGE JUMP! The Newport slip-on has also been a wonderful addition and out-performed any first year sales for a new shoe in our Company's history.

For 2011 we plan on continuing to push our Fashion Shoes. Basic shoes are essential for any retailer. But Fashion shoes allow the retailer more flexibility and our sales show that customers WILL BUY fashion. Cosmo and Newport have met rave reviews and we've got buyers literally from coast to coast. We also will bring back our all leather patent Retail Shoe Line with 2 patterns: Siena and Roma.
Other new offerings will be the Black/Grey Twilight and "Stanford" a Matte-finish shoe in Black and Brown. Stanford is a fashionable lace up/split toe shoe. We've just released samples of this shoe to our salesman and they've already received orders for it.

At IFA Show we will offer a "FREE Shoe promotion." For details stop by the Jean Yves booth and let us show you all that's new for 2011.

Ginger Fung who owns this company has been a long time supporter of the IFA and always presents a creative product with great service.
Peanut Butter Collection offers a wide selection of formal and special occasion wear for boys and girls ranging between the ages of 6 months to 16 years.
Our selection includes tuxedos, flower girl dresses, pageant wear, and special occasion dresses.
Customer service is our highest priority. By giving high quality children's clothing at affordable prices with the fastest delivery time, we strive to achieve customer satisfaction.
We bring you the best in quality, service, and price.
This season we have added Windsor blue, grape to our vest collection. As for suits and tuxedos, we have added gray and tan color to our new mix of colors. For next season, we have added camo color and American flag vests.

Another new product Formalwear for the dogs!!

A unique company that you probably won’t see if not for visiting expo, this booth was busy the whole time last year!
We carry a unique collection of high-quality formal tuxedos in a variety of colors. From the bright yellow tuxedo to our classic black tuxedo, we have a tuxedo that will get you noticed at your next formal event not only with your bold colors but your classic, sophisticated style. They offer a full line of accessories including the hats, canes, shoes, and socks to complete your outfit! Be sure and stop by and see some of the fun styles!

Our Mossy Oak tuxedo line combines the elegance of a traditional formal tuxedo with the essence of the outdoors to give you a look that is rugged, yet ready for any formal event.
